Favorite Knitting tool

Okay, it may not be a tool, but is has fast become my new obsession. Listening to audiobooks while I knit. I can knit and be in a whole other world-even when I am not on vacation! LOL. Seriously, I love it. If I am not listening to a book, then I am listening to music, not whining or screaming. It's wonderful! I have started a pair of socks, but after seeing many finished and beautiful Central Park Hoodies on Knit the CPH with us blog, I have been feeling guilty. But, with the start of our new warehouse and what I call my demotion, from doing only the books for our business,to now setting upthe warehouse, distributing and receiving inventory, still trying to do the books and keeping my house clean- I don't seem to have any energy to knit! Maybe this weekend. I have to start thinking about SP10. AAAGGGHHH!!!!and of course the age old, timeless request that every mother loves to hear--- "What's for dinner?"
Then when you tell them or make it, you hear, can I have cereal?
Why bother, seriously, why? I wish I could just make it and they wuold be grateful!
Okay, enough bitching, after all, it is FRIDAY!
Have a great weekend. Hopefully, the snow will all go away. I keep looking for Meisha-the geisha girl, to come running down the stairs every morning with me:(

Thank you!

Many thanks to all of you who have written to me on Meisha, our baby girl Rhodesian Ridgeback. She died within 5 days of being sick. Hum, food poisoning-not according to Iams. Well, she and Bubba, the big bad Rhodesian of the house, have been eating Iams Weight management dry food for little over 6 months. They used to eat Science Diet. Over the last 6 months Meisha has lost her appetite, but I just figured she was being finicky. She was a little high strung ( she was rescued from a family that beat her, when she was 1 !/2)She lost some of her fur last summer and the vet did not know what caused it. I have been doing research people...aflatoxocis. Causes liver disease, jaundice, vomiting and there was a problem with Iams and this before. I have tossed the Iams and have kept some to have tested. I do not want to be "compensated" for my loss, I want an apology and answers. Did Iams kill my sweet Meisha. Or did she really die in 5 days from a blocked gallbladder. Yes, Bubba is fine. Bubba could eat all of my knit socks and be fine. He eats everything and anything. I have no knit in days. I hope no one else has to go through what we did this past week. It is heartwretching enough to lose a pet, but this was just cruel!
Thanks for reading and your support.
Hugs back to all.
Ann

Meisha

Today was awful! On Thursday, I took our girl, Meisha, to the vet. They thought she had liver disease because she had been vomiting for 5 days. Today, we took her to the ER vet for the weekend so she could get better for monday, when we could get an ultrasound or do surgery. She got worse. Much worse. She did not make it. She was only 8 and was so happy to see my husband and myself. She wagged her tail and I felt awful for picking her up from the vet, taking her to the ER not bringing her home. I will miss her. She was a sweet girl. I can not bring myself to tell the girls yet. They were so upset at me this morning when I told them I had to go take her to the ER and not home..............Bubba will miss her!

I wear a size 9 so I think my foot measures 10 inches I will get back on this

My birthday is Feb. 11th. I am an Aquarian.

I have frogged the stupid clapotis for the last time. I am going to make a flower basket shawl instead. I have to make it out of acrylic as the person I am making it for is allergic to wool. No blocking.....oh well. I am sick, sick I say of my CPH. I must finish it. Every time I check out the "knit the Central Park Hoodie with us" blog I am jealous of those who have finished. I am 3/4 done with the sleeves and the front and back are all seamed and the shoulder and blocked. But so am I. UGH! Oh well. some day it will be my oldest UFO.

I am back!

Okay, so I am really alive. Much has happened good and okay. So on the knitting news-okay. The damn CPH is still not finished and probably won't be anytime soon. Bored with it. Started a pair of socks in the Bahamas could not remember how to do a short row heel........aaaggghhh. Daughter #2 has been accepted to Baylor! She is tickled. We are happy for her, but wish we had not paid off our mortgage 2 years ago, duh! Daughter #1 has got a job! Hopefully it will last. She looks good and calls me often. My fingers are crossed daily!
I recived my sassy swap package and it was awesome. I will have to post pics of things later on. My scarf swap kit was great as well. I joined the SP10 and got accepted. I can not wait. We went on vacation in Feb to the Bahamas -Atlantis and to Orlando. My girls 13 and 17 faught most of the time. No more family vacations. Atlantis was nice but too busy for my taste. I will not go back, and it was very very expensive! We had dinner when we got to Orlando at Disneys Grand Floridian. Victoria and Alberts. It was superb! Expensive but worth every penny. My hubby treated me to not 1 , but 3 Dooney and Bourkes for my birthday, which he forgot! my girls each got one in the bahamas but he bought me 2 more at the Outlets. :) spoiled rotten!
My sister and neice came up from Connecticut for my birthday 2/11. We had a great time she stayed for the weekend. It was nice to see her. I usually see her 2 or 3 times a year. She is the baby of the family and I am the oldest. We get along fabulously!
I will post my SP10 answers next week along with pics. Thanks for stopping by. Oh and as far as knittting- I am up for a Clapotis-better late than never. Or maybe a fake a gamo. Who knows.
Later :)
