Just can't knit...

Well, I finished Ariann and sewed on the buttons. Not the ones from Walmart. Tried Joanns and 7.50 later 4 buttons. But they were perfect. I haven't exercised in a week. I went to Las Vegas for my 21st anniversary. My oldest moved out, my mother in law died and the trip was just the worst ever. So, I can not knit. I showed my mother in law the sweater before I left and she touched it and smiled that I had done such a good job. She said so. She had just survived throat cancer surgery, so she could barely talk. She smiled and wrote alot. She meant more to me in the last 4 weeks of her life than she ever had in the 20 years I knew her. I spent 2 complete days with her after her surgery because she was afraid to die. She lit up every time I walked into the room. I saw her almost every day. I did her nails, I made her a shawl. I rubbed her legs so she would sleep. I hugged her and held her hand. As did my husband. He is a mess. He spent every day with her 4 and 5 hours at a time.Sometimes more.
We were assured she was fine and cancer would not kill her. We went on our vacation and she died while we were away. We found out from my daughter, who had to hear sympathy 2 days later when it was published in the paper! Cancer did not kill her ...she choked to death in front of 3 people who took her home to die. 3 people who did nothing to save her at all. A horrible way to die. Sorry if this is morbid, but I need to vent.

Thank you.

Ariann!

Here she is!It is made out of Cotton Ease-Taupe! And, I love it. Love it like no other sweater. I went to wally world today and got the perfect buttons for $3.59. This sweater almost saw the frog pond. But good sense told me to walk away. I did-for 4 months. I ripped back about 4 inches and started the sleeve decreases again. And just like Rachael, I did not do the "at the same time" neck decreases. But it is perfect. I have some popsicle blue that I have already started winding for my next one.
This one was supposed to be 3/4 sleeve. It ended up being 7/8 but, who cares.
